Two children were suspended 35metres in the air while another two children were trapped several metres above ground.
A crane has been brought in to rescue the children on the ride, which is believed to be the Freestyle, at Waurn Ponds Shopping Centre for the Chants Summer Carnival in Geelong
Fire Rescue Victoria said rescue crews were at the scene alongside the SES, CFA, Victoria Police, WorkSafe and carnival management.
