Elle Fanning and her costar Chloë Sevigny showed off some of their most stylish ensembles on Thursday at a screening of their dark true crime series The Girl From Plainville. 

Elle, 24, looked glamorous in a colorful striped dress, while Chloë, 47, was a stylish as ever in a white tweed outfit at the North Hollywood event.

The younger sister of Dakota Fanning stars in The Girl From Plainville as Michelle Carter, who was convicted in 2017 of involuntary manslaughter for coercing her boyfriend Conrad Roy III to kill himself in 2014.

Roy, who struggled with mental health issues and suicidal ideation, took his own life after Carter sent him numerous text messages urging him to do so.

She was released early from prison with more than three months left to go on her 15-month sentence in January 2020. 

Despite the somber mood of the series, Elle looked ebullient as she hit the red carpet while accompanied by Chloë.
