The news comes just days after the Nashville star appeared to get into a physical altercation involving her boyfriend, 30, and a group of others outside of a Los Angeles bar in video footage obtained by TMZ.

A source last week told People, ‘Brian was attacked by the group as was Hayden who in her best effort tried to diffuse the situation.

‘Hayden was refused the opportunity to provide a statement to the police as she was escorted back inside. She is okay.’

Panettiere and Hickerson have been romantically linked since August of 2018; she is mother to daughter Kaya, seven, with former fiancé Wladimir Klitschko, 46.

In May of 2019, Hickerson was arrested in connection with domestic violence following an argument but the charges were later dropped. Prosecutors said in court docs that Hickerson ‘willfully inflicted corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition upon Hayden P.’

Hickerson was arrested in July of 2020 in connection with hitting Panettiere, and subsequently faced eight counts counts of domestic violence and assault in the incident.

In April of 2021, he was sentenced to 45 days in prison after entering a no contest plea to two felony counts of injuring Panettiere and was also sentenced to four years of formal probation, 52 domestic violence classes, $500 in restitution and a five-year protective order for the crimes. He wound up serving 33 days in custody, according to Us Weekly.

In a July 2020 Instagram post, Panettiere said, ‘I am coming forward with the truth about what happened to me with the hope that my story will empower others in abusive relationships to get the help they need and deserve.

‘I am prepared to do my part to make sure this man never hurts anyone again. I’m grateful for my support system, which helped me find the courage to regain my voice and my life.’
