However, fans were quick to take to Twitter to claim Jesy had been ‘miming’ during the performance, with one nothing she sounded ‘out of breath’ in the parts she actually sang.

‘Baaaaaaaaaad miming #boyz,’ wrote one user, while another added: ‘So #jesynelson goes solo and starts lip syncing …..’

One fan certainly put their detective hat on before penning: ‘Jesy Nelson lip syncing in her debut performance, yet actually singing the CHORUS only. (You can tell when she’s actually singing because she’ll sound out of breath.)’

‘Imagine lip syncing your first live peformance [sic] Upside-down face #GrahamNorton #JesyNelson,’ added another.

Representatives for So Television and Jesy have been contacted for comment by MailOnline.

Boyz was released on October 8 and debuted at number 4 on the UK Singles Chart and at number 16 in Ireland.

It comes after the Salute hitmaker ‘was warned to limit her time on social media over trolling fears’, ahead of her performance on the BBC show.

According to The Sun, the singer was begged by her team to stay off Instagram and other platforms to avoid trolling she has faced in the wake of her blackfishing scandal.

It was claimed Jesy, who has previously spoken of how vile trolling affected her throughout her career, has only been logging into her social media accounts to share fan videos before logging out.

A source said: ‘Jesy never thought things would pan out this way with Boyz but it’s made her more determined that ever to get things right and to make her solo career a success.

‘The trolling she’s faced in the past and its affect on her is no secret so it’s not an exaggeration to say she’s terrified of putting a foot wrong – sadly the past few weeks have taken their toll.

‘Bosses have told Jesy to keep offline as much as possible and she’s locked herself away in rehearsals with a tight-knit team.’

Jesy has been at the centre of huge drama of late, after former Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock previously accused her of blackfishing in the music video for Boyz in leaked messages with influencer NoHun.

Jesy’s Boyz collaborator Nicki Minaj then branded her former bandmates ‘jealous clowns’ on a barbed Instagram live.

The source added Jesy is ‘aware’ of the leaked DMs from Leigh-Anne but wants to keep ‘quiet’ to avoid a social media spat.
