Teen linked to horrifying attack on pregnant mum that left her kids flipped in their pram is arrested AGAIN for almost exactly the same crime
- A 14-year-old girl has been arrested after allegedly attempting to rob a woman
- Last month she was with a 15-year-old who allegedly committed similar attack
- The WA teenager allegedly struck while on bail for another alleged bag snatch
A teen who was with the 15-year-old accused of dragging a pregnant mum to the ground and sending her pram flying in an attempt to rob her is being held over a shockingly similar alleged crime.
The 14-year-old girl was caught on CCTV footage last month with her 15-year-old friend riding a scooter around Perth, before the older girl allegedly attacked the mother from behind in footage which shocked Australia.
The younger girl has now been detained over another dreadful alleged attack on a woman in a nearby Perth suburb just weeks later.
The 14-year-old, who was not charged over the pram attack, allegedly committed the crime last week while she was on bail for yet another alleged bag snatch.
The scene of an alleged crime in early September where a pregnant woman (pictured) was attacked from behind
She allegedly approached a 39-year-old woman from behind as she walked near a car park at Curtin University at around 4pm on September 28, the West Australian reported.
She and a 13-year-old girl allegedly assaulted the woman, snatched her handbag and went through it before leaving the scene.
After last month’s alleged attack, which saw the pregnant woman dragged from behind, police arrested a 15-year-old and alleged she was the girl in the footage and had been attempting to steal the woman’s handbag.
Footage of her arrest showed her swearing at officers while other household members cry out in the background.
The mother escaped the attack with minor cuts and bruises but police held concerns as she was five months pregnant and fell onto her stomach.
Police released the CCTV footage of the attack to help piece together what happened.
Anyone with information on any of these alleged crimes is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
Footage from before last month’s attack showed the teenager riding a scooter down the laneway behind another young girl.
Police confirmed the second girl was also arrested as part of earlier investigation.
