It comes after Anton Du Beke confirmed he will be returning to the Strictly Come Dancing panel for the second year as he replaces Bruno, who quit the show after 18 years.

The ballroom dancer, 55, will be taking up residency on the judging panel for Strictly’s 20th series after he sat in on the famous panel last year.

He will be joined by popular returning judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and head judge Shirley Ballas, the BBC has confirmed.

Reacting to his new role, Anton admitted he was ‘delighted’ to become a regular judge as he will replace Italian star Bruno, who has quit the show after 18 years.

Anton sat in on the panel for the first time last year when Bruno was unable to travel to the UK from the US last year due to pandemic travel restrictions.

Craig, who has been a judge on the BBC show since the first series, said he was ‘beyond thrilled’ to be returning once again to the panel.

The choreographer, 66, hasn’t been a regular on the panel for the past two years due to pandemic travel restrictions amid his filming on Dancing With The Stars.

And now, Bruno will not be coming back to the UK version and will instead concentrate on being a judge on Dancing With The Stars, with a source telling The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden: ‘Bruno has quit the show for good.

‘He’s going to be a judge only on [the U.S. version] Dancing With The Stars from now on.’

It was previously suggested by Craig that Bruno could return to judge alongside Anton, but now it appears that he’ll stay put in the US.

Bruno formed part of the original Strictly line-up alongside Craig, Arlene Phillips and his Dancing With The Stars co-star Len Goodman.
