Tom Holland looks CRAZED in NYC on set of Apple’s The Crowded Room
Uncharted action star Tom Holland was deep into character while filming his 1977-set Apple TV+ anthology series The Crowded Room in Manhattan on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Englishman stars as Danny Sullivan, a thinly-veiled version of Billy Milligan, the first person in US history to be acquitted of a major crime by pleading multiple-personality disorder (now known as dissociative identity disorder).
In the scene, Tom hailed a black cab in what appeared to be London – but is likely just a fantastical figment of the robber and kidnapper’s fractured mind.
One of Billy’s 24 reported personalities was an English scientist called Arthur despite him being technically born in Florida and raised in Ohio. Holland is also an executive producer on Akiva Goldsman’s 10-episode drama.
On Tuesday, the Spider-Man: No Way Home actor was wearing the same brown pullover and blue jeans costume while filming a scene outside the Hotel 17 in Lower Manhattan.
A fan called Flo Goodman uploaded a TikTok of her asking Tom if he would be Spider-Man again and he replied: “I don’t know. Maybe one day.’
Cannes Un Certain Regard Award winner Kornél Mundruczó (Pieces of a Woman) is directing The Crowded Room, which began production on March 31.
It’s based on Daniel Keyes’ award-winning 1981 non-fiction novel, The Minds of Billy Milligan.
The true-crime show will also star Amanda Seyfried (pictured), Levon Roan Thurman-Hawke, Emmy Rossum, Christopher Abbot, Sasha Lane, Jason Isaacs, Emma Laird, Lior Raz, and Patrick Klein.
