Nigeria’s Chief of Defense, General Lucky Irabor has reacted to the attack on the Nigeria Defense Academy (NDA) on Tuesday.
Gunmen believed to be bandits attacked the officer’s barracks in the military facility, killed three officers, and abducted one in the early hours of Tuesday.
While speaking to newsmen in Yola, Adamawa State, CDS Irabor described the incident as “madness” as he likened the NDA attack to armed robbers attacking one’s residence.
“The incident in Kaduna, of course, has been undertaken by bandits, but it is more of an armed robber coming to your house,” said General Irabor who was in Adamawa State to meet with retired senior military officers in the north-east region.”
“The infiltration did not come by virtue of the normal banditry action, but these are things we are already looking at and in due course, you will get the details.”
“Any form of insecurity is a cause for worry for anyone and that is why for us, we are more determined that this madness must be brought to an end very speedily.”

When a soldier was killed in Benue…The whole army went on rampage burning down houses. Let me see if the same thing will happen in Kaduna with the Bandits.

Unknown gun men attacking NDA in Kaduna and killing some of our gallant men without been caught speaks volume. Like how did we even get to this stage as a country? I'm worried and confused.

Will anybody be punished for the breach of security in a military formation in Kaduna? It is a big shame….people should be resigning already. A big warning that no where is safe in Nigeria.

Kaduna State should be one of the safest States in the Country but we have the combination of Buhari and El Rufai. The former said he has done his best for Nigeria, the latter said bandits are business oriented. Nigerians, these are you Leaders!
